Cistus Creticus is a frost-hardy evergreen shrub with mid-green leaves and in summer bears purple-pink flowers with yellow stamens. Very similar to Crispus, although flowers have a more lavender tinge to them…Creticus is more a red pink. A most suitable plant for a sunny position in a mixed or shrub border and has a long flowering period, especially if you pinch them out after their first flowering. Grow in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soil in a sheltered position in full sun. Generally lime-tolerant on all but very chalky soils.
