Cistus ‘Gold Star’ is an evergreen, frost-hardy bushy shrub bearing white flowers, with yellow markings at the base of each petal, in summer. It has grey-green foliage and is best in a sunny mixed or shrub border. This has a mass of flowers in early summer….what a pleasure!
Soil should be well-drained, poor to moderately fertile and position should be sheltered and sunny.
The pic is of Cistus salviifolius and not particularly ‘Gold Star’, this has more distinct yellowing at the base of each petal.
