Clerodendron bungei is aptly named the ‘Glory Flower’. It is a deciduous suckering shrub that produces very fragrant large lilac like clusters of dark pink flowers through late summer and autumn which are loved by butterflies. Later, these develop into showy bright blue berries set off by crimson bracts, giving great colour in the autumn garden. The dark green oval leaves are tinged with purple when young.
Grow in moist well drained humus rich soil in full sun. Ideal for a warm border being frost hardy to about -7c.
