Iris ‘Stepping Out’ is a rhizomatous tall bearded iris, with grey-green foliage, and flowers of purple and a white blaze on the ‘falls’. Flowers from May to June.
Apparently first listed 40 years ago, noted for the large size of the flowers.
Suitable for well drained neutral to slightly acid loam, in full sun or part shade. Again, Iris do prefer to be grown in groups in a mixed or herbaceous border.
