Schizostylis ‘Mrs Hegarty’ has light pink flowers from August onwards, and is ideal for planting in a mixed or herbaceous border.
Also good as a cut flower. Frost hardy perennial, once established the roots (rhizome) will survive the winter perfectly well with the occasional mulch.
Everyone should have a schizostylis in the garden. They are such a pick me up when other things are coming to an end.
Grow in well drained but moist moderately fertile soil in full sun.
